Despite modern advances in communication technology, many people face loneliness and depression, which seems to be at odds with the holy grail of inner contentment.. Many are increasingly opting out into the world of single-dom. Yet underneath all this is the desire to be loved.
This no holds barred documentary from a leading British filmmaker Menelik Shabazz combines intimate and humorous interviews to explore modern relationships. The film is focused on the UK’s Black British community. Individuals, groups, psychologists and comedians consider love, sex, intimacy and forgiveness.
Contributors include African American psychologist Dr Umar Johnson, relationship author’s Susan Quilliam and Jackie Holder. Whilst Kojo, Andi Osho, Eddie Kadi, Slim, Mr Cee, Donna Spence and Glenda Jaxson add insightful humour to a subject that we all talk about.
